Where does the electrical power go to in your business?
Network analysis and evaluation form the basis for taking effective measures to ensure operational reliability and achieve efficient results.

Network measurements

To assess the quality of an electrical power supply, the starting point is always a network analysis in accordance with the applicable regulations. To do this, a network analyser is installed for a certain period, usually one week, in the incoming power feeder. The voltages in the three phases are measured, together with the currents in the phases, the neutral or PEN conductor, and the PE conductor. From these readings the network analyser then calculates the other key parameters, such as power, cos-phi, harmonic voltages and currents, frequency, flicker, etc.

We rent out network analysis instruments suitable for this purpose at a charge of €259.- per week. On return of the instrument, a detailed evaluation report is prepared by our specialists, together with suggestions for rectifying any shortcomings in the network.

The solid basis for optimum action

First-hand measurement data are the best basis for ensuring that your power network will operate safely and reliably. Since every network must meet specific requirements in its own particular environment, individual consultations with our customers are obviously valued very highly by FRAKO.

Network evaluations

When the measurement data have been recorded by the network analysers, they are transmitted to the PC, where they are evaluated in accordance with customer requirements.

Different evaluation plans are available for this:

  • Measurement reading evaluation report NA1:
    • Chart printouts without comments: THDV average, THDV max, THDI average, THDI max, P total, Q total, PF total
    • Overview as per EN 50160
    • Calculation of the required capacitance or the size of an active or passive filter
  • Measurement reading evaluation report NA2:
    • Chart printouts with comments on: V min, V average, V max, THDV average, THDV max, I average, I max, THDI average, THDI max, P total, Q total, PF total, the most significant harmonics of voltage and current, flicker P st and P lt
    • Overview and evaluation as per EN 50160
    • Proposed solution in the form of a concrete quotation
  • Measurement reading evaluation report NA3:
    • Chart printouts with comments on: V min, V average, V max, THDV average, THDV max, I average, I max, THDI average, THDI max, P total, Q total, PF total, the most significant harmonics of voltage and current, flicker P st and P lt
    • Overview and evaluation as per EN 50160 / EN 61000 from the Memobox data (as for NA2, with inspection and consultation on site)
